Tokyo Subway System

Ever since Hime sama and I have decided to go to Japan during Winter 2011, I had sleepless nights. Err okie perhaps just 1 or 2 nights. Super excited. Have been going through the maps and Tokyo subway map for the past 2 days.

Since I had been going through the homework i did, i had a better understanding of how Tokyo subway works. Actually been there myself hasten my understanding.

Okie, the map i have put up here is a little tiny small. If you guys wants to look @ a bigger picture just click on the map itself. it will grow bigger.

Total of 18 lines make up the whole of Tokyo of subway system. You can see it under right hand corner of the map.
Of course i didn't took the entire system. I would wish to if I had time during my stay in Japan.=P

-Asakusa Line
-Mita Line
-Shinjuku Line
-Oedo Line
-JR Yamanote Line
-JR Line
-Private Railways
-Toei Streetcar Arakawa Line
-Ginza Line
-Marunouchi Line
-Hibiya Line
-Tozai Line
-Chiyoda Line
-Yurakucho Line
-Yurakucho Line
-Hanzomon Line
-Namboku Line

Basically if you happens to travel in Japan and knows how the Tokyo subway system works,
you are king.

So how do we interpret the system?
For example, if you are like me staying in Ikebukuro (highlighted in blue), wants to go to Akihabara (Also highlighted in blue). Simply take the Yamanote Line which is colored in zebra line(highlighted in red box). It's quite simple.=)
